  • Area Of Research:Host-Virus interactions
Dr Musturi Venkataramana, Associate Professor, received Ph. D degree from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Later on, undergone the Post-doctoral training at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), India, Uppsala University, Sweden and Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. The research interests include the understanding the host-virus interactions with reference to the dengue and chikungunya viruses. In this direction, the research group carries the studies on the characterization of the strains of dengue and chikungunya circulating in South India and the analysis of role of virus coded structural, non-structural proteins and un-translated regions on disease manifestations caused by the above two viruses.
