The theme of my lab is to elucidate and functionally analyze diverse plant viral pathways to understand the intricacies of host-pathogen interactions at molecular level. We also engineer  plant viruses as tools to express heterologous proteins in planta.  Diverse viral protein(s) and reporter gene taggings are used to light up the interiors of the plant cell to understand the interplay between the viral genes and host cellular factors.
