Theme of Workshop:

BioQuest is an annual event of the School of Life Sciences (University of Hyderabad) to showcase the ongoing teaching and research programs of the School of Life Sciences. The School of Life Sciences, established in 1977 with grand vision of promoting inter-disciplinary teaching and research, has become the Centre of Excellence for 'Post Graduate Education and Research in Biology and Biotechnology'. Currently, the School has 4 departments, Biochemistry, Plant Sciences, Animal Biology and Biotechnology & Bioinformatics and a Center for Systems Biology, offering Masters and Ph.D programs in all these areas. In addition the School offers Masters in Molecular Microbiology, M.Tech in Bioinformatics and Integrated Masters in Systems Biology (first of its kind in the country). With state of the art infrastructural facilities in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bio-imaging systems and bio-informatics, around 60 faculty, 50 post-doctoral fellows and 350 Ph.D scholars working under one roof, the School is one of the most happening and largest in the country.

The theme of BioQuest 2019 is “Cellular homeostasis: Basic and translational research” . This event is designed to provide a platform for faculties working on divergent areas to showcase their research. Students will have opportunity to interact and exchange their ideas during the event.

One day BioQuest program is planned with oral and poster presentation by Postdoctoral fellow, Scholars and students.

M. Sc/ M. tech/IM.Sc students, PhD students and Postdoctoral fellow can attend.

Registration:

All students, scholars and postdoctoral fellow of school of Life Science need to register by submitting the filled registration form along with following registration charges to Dr. Mohd. Akif, Room No. F72A. Registration details are as follows.

Category	Last date to register 7th March 2019
Category I: Students (M.Sc., I.M.Sc., M.Tech.)	Rs 100/-
Category II: Ph.D. scholars:	Rs 200/-
Category III: Postdoctoral researchers:	Rs 300/-

Soft copy of registration form and abstract in the prescribed format directed through respective PI or mentor have to be submitted to bioquest2019@gmail.com on or before 7th March 2019.

All submitted titles and abstracts would be screened by committee members and selected presentations (oral and poster) will be informed through mail.
